A bench-top version of the Canary System designed for use in laboratory settings, The Canary Lab allows for non-destructive analysis of defects and caries in the enamel of extracted teeth. The same PTR-LUM technology in The Canary System is used in The Canary Lab with the same graphical and numerical results. The technology allows for laboratory studies of dental remineralization and lesion progression.
